Just a note from Europe…
Hi Guys!
Thanks so much for checking back here with me and leaving comments
I love the inquisitive ones, so yea, if you have any questions, I’ll try my best to answer them.
I’ve gotten quite a few on Chingay so while I promise to reply to that soon, I thought I’d write a quick note (before my internet time runs out here at the hotel) to say I’m MIA for now cuz I’m in Europe.
My maiden trip to London, Paris and Barcelona! Can you believe it? After all these years, I finally get to see these cities. It’s been quite an experience and will perhaps upload photos or write a thing or two about each cities soon.
So will write soon, in the meantime, take care! (The cold weather here finally caught up with me and my running nose and sore throat prevents me from eating some local delights here… my luck~… oh wells…)

Enjoy your trip. I am looking forward to your next blog then.
Take care always.
Yes pls post pics especially of Paris. I went there after London in 2001 Feb and was supposed to go to Barcelona then to Venice then Rome. But trip was shortened when I fell sick in Paris and my travel partner decided to split
She (a Japanese) joined a group of Koreans we met on the London-Paris coach-ferry-coach trip
2 days after I took an overnight train to Rome and flew home. I must be the only tourist who went to Paris but didn’t see the Eiffel Tower up close
But still, Paris is so romantic it makes me feel like a character in some novel just walking the streets lined with the old architecture. But it’s that wistful, almost desolate beauty that left a poignant impression on me, maybe because I roamed the wintry streets alone. But I shall revisit one day on a happier note. Don’t let the brrrrrrr weather get you down!
miss u on prime time morning (though it sounds like asking u back to work =X )
enjoy urself…
wish u hav a great trip
No wonder never seen you in the morning on the bus.
Anyway, enjoy the trip.
I love London and Paris! Was there last year around the same time with my wife. And yes, it can be really cold. I still remember temperatures ranged from 6-15 degrees while we were there. But it was good fun bundled up in layers of winter wear then peeling them off when in the ‘toasty’ confines of cafes etc. Hope it’s all clear skies and sunshine over there. Cos it was mostly wet, gray, cold and blustery when we were there last year. Despite that, it was still the most memorable trip I had. Looking forward to your photos of the cities.
Hello Suzanne!
It’s 9.03am now. Just caught you on Prime Time Morning and you look great! Read through your biography and I am certainly surprised that you are fluent in Mandarin! Try speaking mandarin on Prime Time Morning someday, I am sure that it will put the audiences on their smile.
Oh yes, Rain catches my attention too. How about sharing with us your thoughts about the him? You must have been proud of the success of a fellow country-mate =)
See you soon!
Ola … ran into this blog link quite accidentally i must say while getting my daily dose of news. a great experience in Europe i guess.
you know, one said that there is a big difference between so-called “passing by” and really living in the countries. when we pass by, we only get a snapshot of what the countries are like and how people really live their life, not really a full picture. but of course, you and i are working professionals with lots of comittments, it’s impossible therefore to be a very long time outside our own circle. regardless, hope you had a great time in paris, barcelona and london. should try to visit more exotic places in the future.
absolutely not related to travelling comment (somewhat) – having understood that you’re from korean background and living in singapore for quite some time, do you happen to know any good and authentic korean restaurant here in sg? my fav one in bugis got closed down. sigh.
Hi Suzanne
I enjoy watching Prime Time morning very much as I find that it captures the daily essense of Singapore society very well. I’m currently an NUS student doing a project on Social memory of Singapore through the media. This is an academic work and I would like to ask if I could interview you about some questions with regards to your comments on the media’s role in portraying a certain image of urban Singapore. Your help would be greatly appreciated ! An email interview would be fine as well but it would be great in person as well as I will be able to grasp your points better. Thanks for your help and I look forward to your responce!

Hi Suzanne,
Take care of yourself. Have a good rest and avoid fried food in the meantime. Hope to see you bubbly and chirpy again.
Out of topic,
It has been two months since you got married, but still no comment or photo for that? o_o?
At Stephen,
Gung at raffles mrt stn. Cheap and Korean taste. I often go there to eat jjolmyeon. But they open during weekdays only and until 8pm.
The only reason I watch PTM is because of you! You are one of my top 3 anchor woman. The other two are Anna Coren (CNN) & Tina Talisa (TV One). I really miss you when you were in Europe. It’s nice to see you back. Keep up the attractive way in informing news!
I miss all the places you been to. Barcelona is really lovely and wonderful place to visit. I been there twice and will always love to travel there again. Also, I do enjoy seeing you at 9.30am. Will travel to London again this coming May but do not think I will have time to side track for real holiday this trip.
Sorry two plus three years Joon!Guess we can communicate publicly but provided it’s subjective & metaphorical only to & from Sri Lanka Thanks.
Glad you visited London Paris & Barcelona. Your interview with Tony Blair was inspiring. I thought that was a playback from the knowledge forum or he had dropped in on Singapore enroute some place. Are you travelling again or indisposed due to the flu. Hope it’s nothing serious. I think we in Sri Lanka may need a ministry for war veterans like in the US. Trust my slow down didn’t cause you complications. I’m enjoying with catching up on your blog. Take Care
